It's easy to show videos from Vidimovie.com directly on your web page or blog post so your visitors can watch the video without clicking a link and leaving your site. All you need to do is add a short snippet of code to your site to load the video content on the page. The video is loaded from our servers and displayed in a frame on your site. Content accessed through a frame by a visitor's browser in this way is said to be "embedded" in the page.
Embedded videos are delivered over a secure HTTPS connection.
<iframe width="720" height="480" src="https://www.vidimovie.com/embed/v2/ENTER_VIDEO_ID_HERE/" allowfullscreen="allowfullscreen" scrolling="no" frameborder="0"></iframe>
For example, say you want to embed the video with ID number "10839". The iframe code will be:
<iframe width="720" height="480" src="https://www.vidimovie.com/embed/v2/10839/" allowfullscreen="allowfullscreen" scrolling="no" frameborder="0"></iframe>
And here's how the video will appear on your website:
You are able to alter the size of the video player as outlined in the next section.
Altering the width and height attributes of the iframe will change it's size on your website. We recommend using a width of at least 480px where possible. Also, note that most videos are presented in wide-screen format, with an aspect ratio of approximately 16:9. The iframe can be styled using CSS in the same way as any other HTML element. You are able to change the size of the iframe, add a border, and set margin sizes. The content inside an iframe cannot be styled.
It's often useful to include some information about an embedded video next to it.
Details about a video - such as the video title, duration and view count - can be fetched using our public API service. Have a quick look through the Vidimovie API documentation for a complete run down of how to access video information in your websites and applications.
